Theres this guy in my class who sits RIGHT behind me and lets just say I sent this guy a carnation for Valentine's Day(our school sells them for $1) Anyway,I think he knows that it was me because of my handwriting. I put annoymous BTW. So Im thinking of things to wear tomorrow. I want him to notice me. Outfits that arent to"Look at me showy showy" but more of a "Dont I look cute in this, too bad you cant have me" kind of style. All though it cant seem too show offy LOL. Do you follow? Anyway, what kind of outfits should I wear and please use detail. Even hairstyles would be nice too. I need both POV's from guys and girls. 10 points to best. Thanks!

Reply:What is wrong with this world????? What is up with girls wanting to impress guys by doing stuff they don't normally do. For example...You wanting him to notice u by what you're wearing. Honey, if he didn't notice you being you, then he's not worth it. You'll only start subjectifying yourself to please men and what you think they want. Do me a huge favour and DON'T!. Just be yourself and approach him. If he's genuine, then he'll show interest.
Reply:Maybe you can wear a dress. Empire waisted is flattering on almost all figures, and with lots of dresses, you can wear tennis shoes, (vans type things??) to make it a little more casual. Or if your school allows them, try some platform wedges. and make sure you paint your toe nails and wear an ankle bracelet. Good luck!!
Reply:i dont have skool tomorrrow how cool is tht?%26gt;
but wear something diffrent but not too diffrent
maybe skinny a a tank top and a sweat shirt but make the sweatshirt fit u rite ot to buggy
good luck
Reply:skinny jeans; not toooooo tight but tight enough to show off your bod.
a cute shirt, maybe a tank top if youre being bold. but as the person above said...if you feel pretty, you look pretty and polished =] just smile and have good posture; posture is everything.
good luck x
Reply:be simple. wear a cute shirt with jeans
Reply:wear a nice kinda dressy (going to a party) shirt and some jeans and some dress shoes and a little make up so you dont look like your trying to hard hope this helps
Reply:Hmm, I would wear straight legs if you have skinny legs.
If you have un-skinny legs, then I'd wear a jean skirt
with black leggings.
The leggings will help in making you legs appear slimmer.
Oh, and wear the ankle-length leggings.
If you can, I'd wear somewhat of a heeled shoe.
It makes your legs look longer and skinnier
:)
If you can't wear heels to school, then wear flats.
If you have any plaid ones, that'd be the best :)
It doesn't have to be though!
If this guy's fashion leans toward punk-fashion,
then you could wear converse.
But if you have big feet, you may not want too
because it'll look as if you have clown feet
because of the skinny jeans or leggings.
As for a shirt, wear a fitted shirt, of any color,
maybe even his favorite color if you know it!
And again, if he leans toward the punk side of fashion,
then you could just wear a pull-over sweater :)
Hair can be either up in a pony-tail
or straightened down :]
Good luck!
Reply:i would say jeans and a fitted shirt. and straighten your hair or something. if you feel pretty you appear pretty

Very Picky Preteen?
i have a extremely picky little preteen, she doesn't get breakfast, even how hard i try to make her. she alway's says i'm not hungry, all she eats is ramen noodles, which i know are very unhealthly! but the kid's gotta eat. doesn't take vitamins there "nasty", and the doctor said she needs vitamins. I've tried carnation instant breakfast that was good for a while, then she hated it. so i want suggestions for vitamins, healthy foods, etc.
Very Picky Preteen?
if she likes raman noodles then that is great. you could feed her for a whole year for just 50 bucks!
Reply:As a preteen, she's old enough to understand consequences. She's also old enough to swallow pills (5 year olds can do it--have her practice on m%26amp;m's if she doesn't know how). Give her a multivitamin. They even make gummy ones now. And, if she doesn't want what you're feeding her, she can sit at the table until she's finished or take away privileges-- phone time, friends, after school activities. She'll get the hint. Have the doctor talk directly to her and then force her. She's old enough to reason with. She's being stubborn and you're caving in. Suck it up and feed the kid.
Reply:Maybe you could try looking up recipes with her. See if she can find any she likes that are healthy. Take her to the store with you and let her pick some foods to try from each food group. A reward system might help too. Let her get something she really wants monthly if she tries a certain amount of new foods within that time period. I've also heard that children are more likely to eat certain foods if they help make them. You could try that too.
Reply:She sounds a bit on the spoiled side and childish ( and i mean as in 2 yrs old ) .. i hate to say that but who is in control here you and your husband or your daughter ?
First i would cook/give her whatever i wanted and if she doesnt eat so be it , let her go hungry for a while she will eventually eat something , just make sure that something is healthy ( simply quit buying ramon noodles ) ..
If you have other children in the home maybe you should all do this together as a family or if anything hide the foods you DONT want her to eat .. i know its hard and its hard to control her habits in school and when she is away from home but do what you can in Your home .
As for the vitamin problem try buying the ones that look like gumballs but take them outta their package and put them in another type of container and sit them on the counter or somewhere in her view , maybe she will walk past and want some gum .. just a suggestion , if not try finding a powder form of something or simply just crush up a vitamin pill and hide in her food / drink whatever ..
Alot of this behavior just isnt right for a pre teen girl , i would try to stop some of this now , as it may get worse as she gets older !!! My 6 yr old daughter is extremely picky but i make her try everything at least once before she screams she doesnt like it and if its something she does like i make her eat it anyway w/ no other options ..
Reply:Just have healthy foods available then she won't have anything unhealthy to pick from.
There are vitamins in some bottled water, maybe you could try that.
Does she like milk shakes, you could sneak some ground up chewable vitamins into it.
Or get them into some other foods she likes.
Reply:Even if anyone reports me..it sounds like she's a spoiled brat, period.
Reply:First of all you and your husband are going to have to start MAKING time to sit down to dinner. YOU are the ones teaching your daughter such horrible eating habits. To tell you the truth though I didn't eat breakfast unless it was Lipton's chicken noodle soup and I'm still alive at 54. However we also ate regular meals. So you fix regular meals. If she doesn't want to eat tell her fine and excuse her from the table. She is to get NOTHING else to eat for the rest of the evening. If she makes herself a snack, go pick it up and take it away from her. She isn't going to starve to death by skipping a couple of meals and she will be more inlcined to start eating regular. But you and your husband are going to have to stop being "too busy" as well.
Reply:As far as swallowing pills she should be able to do that at this age. My daughter is 8 and has been swallowing pills for about a year, maybe a little more. If the doctor says she needs to take vitamins then give her a choice between vitamins meant for little kids (gummy or chewables) or pills. Take her to the store and tell her she HAS to pick out her vitamins. You may also want to talk about the importance of a balanced diet and maybe take her shopping for much healthier food. Let her pick her food but make sure it is healthy choices. If this doesn't work (she throws a fit because she can't have what she wants) then do the shopping without her and don't buy ramen noodles. Maybe if she doesn't have her favorite food she will eat something else. You can tell her if she doesn't start taking vitamins and eating better then she will have to drink Pediasure to get the nutrients. She will eventually eat when she gets hungry.
Reply:There are children's vitamins that are gummy bears and gumballs which taste great and are still packed with nutrients for growing kids. Also you could buy a variety of fruit and she could sample them for breakfast and see if there are any she likes. Maybe by adding seasoning or cream of mushroom/ soup to chicken with rice it will be more appetizing with the flavor she loves? Good luck!

Kittens with URI?
I have a litter of 3 kittens and they clearly have a URI I took one to the vet was put on Clavamox and not much is happening.I am pretty knowledged when it comes to cats I have seen many URI's before but it's much harder when the kittens are only 10 days old! They are NOT nursing I am bottle feeding with karo syrup, one egg yolk, carnation evaporated milk and walk mixed in a container and small amount put in a bottle after warmed up.One kitten is actually eating it well she seems to like it.The one little girl is so tiny she is very weak I believe she will move and walk around and she seems kinda strong at times but after I feed her she just goes back to sleep.I know kittens sleep alot!I wash their little eyes with a warm cloth and nose to help break up some of the congestion so they can breathe better it helps.I know about the milk from the mother its the best because of the antibodies.I read that the Clavamox will only help with the secondary infection which are the mean symtoms.
Kittens with URI?
Get a human vitamin called Lysine. Crush it up into powder and put it into their food. It has worked wonders for my adult cats. I don't see why it wouldn't work for the little ones, but you may want to start with just a little, little bit at first. It's only a vitamin so I'm sure it won't hurt them but it's best to start small and be safe. You may need to get a pill pulverizer which can be found at pretty much any pharmacy or Wal-Mart type of store. They are not expensive. You might even call a vet to ask for the exact proper dosage of the Lysine. They make a Lysine based med for cats, but a vet once told me that it's really the same exact vitamins used for humans and it would be cheaper to buy it and crush it.
If you are worried about the dosage or can't get info from a vet then I would say an actual pinch between your thumb and forefinger should be a good amount.

13 going on 14 want to lose weight?
hey okay im 13 gonna be 14 in december. i'm 5'2" and 135 lbs. im pretty muscular, but im a little bit chubby and want to lose the last of it. usually what i eat day by day consists of:
Breakfast: nutri-grain bar and Carnation Instant Breakfast
Lunch: lunch meat sandwich, some fruit, side like animal crackers or 100 calorie packs
Dinner: some meat, a carb, and a vegetable.
I have dessert about once a week and my exercise is usually hardcore Dance Dance Revolution on difficult for an hour about 4 times a week. What can i do to lose the last bit of weight I want to lose? i wanna lose abt 15 lbs
13 going on 14 want to lose weight?
dont sweat it just eat a normal diet not too much junk food
and play sports you will lose the weight that way if you restrict your calories you will stunt your growth! if you dont like playing alot of sports pick up so hobbies that really require running like perhaps running or jump rope and no its not girly if you dont beleive me type buddy lee into youtube and look at the guy and tell me its girly! just eat right drink alot of water and be active!
and remember your still growing so if you dont gain too much fat the fat you have now will dissapear!
Reply:Wow honestly I'd have to say your perfect don't change anything of what your doing eventually you'll lose the weight.
Reply:running is an excellent idea.
i know what your going through.
im 13 goin on 14 [in feb.]
i was 133 in june nd now im 112.
i ran 3 miles three times a week.
water is also key.
sodas go straight to your stomac, lol.
giving it up all together is best.
thrust me when i say JUICE is awesome.
im dinking tropicana light apple juice right now.
=]
good luck
Reply:I'd say, eat healthly like your doing, lots of veggies, lean protein. Peanut butter is really good, its protein. When you want a snack, just have a spoonfull if peanutbutter its protein and it will keep you feeling full. Try to differ your workouts, running with a friend and talking is fun, maybe order an excersize DVD. Do crunches and push-ups. Keep it exciting, so that working out is fun. Good Luck!! I hope you loose the weight and keep it off
Reply:If possible spread out your food. Don't eat all of your lunch at once. Save some between classes or after school. Your eating habits are pretty good. Listen to your stomach. Don't over eat. Make sure you have good portions. You don't want to starve yourself, but sometimes you may realize that your body doesn't need so much. You don't want to eat a huge dinner either. Cutting out that desert or limiting how much or how often you eat it might help(maybe only take a bite of it or a small portion). You can always exercise more. Maybe get some other sort of exercise. You could add in some toning exercises(crunches, push-ups, lunges, ect.).
The other problem is that you are still growing. You don't want to deprive your body of any nutrients that you need, but I know how it is to want to not want fat.
Reply:The way not to do it is starve yourself, to start with. Just exercise and eat right. I did....lost 90 LBS because of it. Starving yourself won't help at all. Drink more water, eat less before bed, and don't eat for stress are the 3 things I follow and i'm going pretty well if i don't say myself. 90 LBS isn't anything like 5-10lbs so take my advice. If you want anymore details, feel free to email me. Just please be patient for ppl seem to email me for advice on this, I will reply, don't worry! ~Adia

I would like to know some expression on floral for its real meaning.?
People like to express their gratitute, love, grieving, business opening ceremony, great event of convention meeting etc... with flowers for the complimentary. Can you tell me which flower is good for representing each of the above categories. For example Red Rose is for love, Carnation is for affection...
I would like to know some expression on floral for its real meaning.?
ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging, gives each flower a purpose so its position and use can be identified. for a more in-depth description, visit this site: http://www.holymtn.com/garden/Ikebana2.h...
Reply:No, yellow is for jealousy, but yellow roses are for friendship.
Black roses are for death.
Easter lilies are obviously for Easter and Poinsettias are for Christmas. Irises and baby's breath are for major events in a woman's life like graduation and a wedding.
(I am allergic to flowers, so don't buy me any!!)

Blue flower is for tenderness
White flower is for asking for forgiveness and also purity
Red Flower is for love and excitement

Can termites spread diseases?
My dorm room was invaded by termites- well, the bathroom and my section, to be specific. The day they came out of the woodwork (pun intended), I discovered a rash on the front of both my legs. I had woken up with one of the nasty little things on me.
The director of residence life claimed to have spoken to the pest control company and assured me that, no, termites don't bite people. She suggested that I had a stress rash, what with finals and not having slept in a bed for a week because I kept waking up with bugs on me. I think she's a crackpot, because I've never had a rash from stress.
It was red, splotchy, and itchy for about five days, then it turned into a nice carnation pink. Now, a week after turning pink, it's peeling, but it doesn't itch nearly as much.
It isn't: a sunburn, a heat rash, a stress rash, Lyme disease, or scabies. I'm putting Calagel on it to make it feel better. A doctor is really not an option. Does anyone have any info to offer me? Thanks!

I would treat it like a burn based on your description. It's possible it could have been irritated by the termites.
It could also be excema. Even if you'd never had excema before, you can still get it. It sounds just like it. Starts off red and irritated and then gets all peely on you. It could have started as an irritation. Dry weather can increase the problem.
Just be glad it's going away. Try different ointments or creams. Which ever seems to make it feel better, stick with it. If it comes back then be worried. Lyme disease doesn't go away on it's own and has several other symptoms, so I doubt it's that. heh.
Reply:"kept waking up with BUGS on me." ? Bleccch!
So, what KIND of bug? Did/ can you bring a couple to the Dispensary?
It is HIGHLY doubtful A termite- not to mention termiteS- were biting you. You don't taste like wood! ;)
There could be a local infestation of bugs (ie: bedbugs) in your dorm area... or just your bed. You need to have that checked out. At the MINIMUM, flea-bomb the place, if you're allowed.
Door SHUT %26amp; window a crack open. Then air it all out.
Finally, ALL new (or "sterilized") bedclothes.
Lyme? HIGHLY unlikely you'd have deer ticks 'congregating' in your dorm (essentially impossible). MUCH more likely to "pick one up" cutting thru the woods to class 1 morning!
