A bouquet of 40 flowers is made up of roses ,carnations,and daisies.It is 45% roses and 15% carnations. How many of the flowers are roses? and how many are carnations?

Help do this math word problem please?
45% of 40 = .45*40 = 18

there are 18 roses

.15*40 = 6, there are 6 carnations
Reply:.45 times 40 is 18 roses.

.15 times 40 is 6 carnations.
Reply:45% of 40 is : 45/100*40 = 18 roses

15% of 40 is : 15/100*40 = 6 carnations
Reply:45% of 40=45/100(40) cross reduce the 40 %26amp; 100 by 10 %26amp; you get 45/10(4)=180/10=18;

15% of 40=15/100(40)=cross reduce the 40%26amp;100 by 10 again; you get 15/10(4)=6

so you have 18 roses %26amp; 6 carnations.
Reply:40 x 0.45 = 18 roses

40 x 0.15 = 6 carnations
