Reply:Depends, what are the age ranges. If it is a young relationship just starting out, it is sweet...but maybe gerber daisies or white/peach roses would be nice too. Not too many though, it isn't a wake!

Reply:I'd personally skip carnations. Sunflowers are really in season right now, and not that expensive. I've never met a girl who didn't like them. They are so bright and Cheery and last quite a while.

Reply:carnations do seem to have a bad rep but i think that its the gesture as well and they are nice...if youre worried get her summery flowers like tulips or daffodils...just not lillies cos they leave pollen stains!
Reply:why give her anything ? .... unless you are trying to portray , you are "buying her affection ". Don't do it- she will always expect something from you. I bet your also planning on dinner too ( right ? ) Try doing something that doesn't involve money , be creative. She will See that your not a typical ordinary chump. good luck
