I have two ideas. The first is %26gt; that i would probably get on my lower back off to the side near my hip bone. Do you think it is too detailed to get smaller? Or I would get a red carnation flower on my foot. I haven't been able to find any good designs online so if anyone has a link to one please post it. what would hurt more, the foot?
First tattoo...?
dont let fear of the people who have told you omg tattoos hurt so bad effect your decision on the size and the location of the tattoo
tattoos really dont hurt so bad just get the tat where you and you only most want you will be fine the pain of being tattooed realy isnt so bad you will be fine
Reply:ultimately, you should be the one to decide what you want, because it's permanently on your body ;) I have 4 tatts, 2 on wrists and 2 on ankles/foot. the foot actually tickled me (just made me laugh), but it's not a good feeling. if you really want to get it on your foot, go for it with no fear (you'll be so happy with the result that it was worth it), but the foot/ankle is one of the worst places to get done, most say. my first ankle hurt like crap, so just want to give you a little insight! good luck and enjoy your first tattoo :)
oh, and the picture you have is very detailed and will be extremely hard to get small. i had that problem with my wrists, because i got flowers and had to cut down the detail a bunch, but also consult a tattoo artist that you're considering and tell him/her your concerns :)
Reply:I would have to say it's a little too detailed to get smaller. You can use the basic design, leaving out all of the smaller details in the middle and you could get it smaller then.
As for which one will hurt worse...that depends on you. Both areas can be VERY painful, for me, the foot is MUCH worse than around the hips. But for others, the foot isn't that bad. If you have very skinny feet, where you can see the tenden or whatever, then it's more than likely going to hurt pretty bad. If your feet are fatter than it's going to hurt less. With the hip, it hurts worse on bone and closer to your ribs. If you keep it right abover your hip off of bones, then it shouldn't be too bad.
I do not recomend a foot tattoo as a first tattoo. If you have another one that you would like to get, I would recomend getting that one first and seeing how painful that was for you. If you think it's horrible then do not go for the foot, if it wasn't too bad then heck yeah go for the foot.
Another way too look at it is : If you cannot take the pain you do not deserve the art. ...something to think about.
As for finding designs online, I don't really reccomend that either. Tattoos will have a lot more meaning to you if you draw it yourself or have someone close to you design it. If you can't draw well or anything. Then I suggest finding some ideas and taking them to an artist and having it personalized for you. Why should you pick something off of a wall to put on your body, just like 100 other people just did....make it your own...
I hope this helps you out some...GOOD LUCK!!!!
Reply:Honestly, for your first tattoo, I would not go with the foot. I just got a nice big rose that covers the enitre top of my foot. That was my 5th tattoo and by far it hurt more than any of the others.
Then again, if you get the most painful one done first you know you can handle anything :-p
