It is almost Love Day and I need to show affection at school. How do I go about this?

READ! Very Elaborate situation.



I am 13 and I like a guy in the same grade. He knows I like him. However, I don't know if he likes me back. We have known each other since 3rd grade. I dated his best friend, but very shortly after he broke up with me because he said that "Z" liked me and didn't want to damage his friendship. Out school is having a carnation drive, but I don't know if I really should do this. He has actually rejected me once. He found out and he said "Maybe later." I have a history of going out with other guys. I kind of like these other two guys though. One I went to day care with (I'm talking diapers), the other I have known since kindergarten. So basically, how do I get this guy's attention, but should I with feelings for the other 2?



Little Story:

"Z" brought up this question actually. We were in the lunch line and he all of a sudden brought up that someone told him that I liked him. Totally caught me off guard.

It is hard to be 13 and just starting to understand the rules of dating. I'm not sure I would have given a boy a carnation under these circumstances. I would expect him to give me one if we were dating or if he was trying to get me to date him. If you are to forward at this age you will scare of the boys except for those you don't really want!



Basically, if you are interested in this boy, don't try to make him jealous. Only date the other boys if you really like them. It doesn't work to try to make someone interested unless they decide for themselves they are interested. Be yourself. Be kind. If you talk with him, listen to what he says. Act interested! When he told you that he had heard that you liked him, you could have been honest and said "Yes." I like you. Then wait to see what he says or does. Sometimes, no matter what you say or do, the date just doesn't happen. Then you move on.
