How do you color carnations?

put food coloring in the water or dip the tips of the flower in food coloring.

dissolve one ounce of food coloring in one pint of warm water. Then add one teaspoon of sugar. Place the dye solution in a clear glass vase.

Immerse the fresh cut flower stems in about three inches of dye solution.

Remove the flowers from the dye solution when the desired color is achieved. This could take anywhere from 1 to 24 hours.

Ithink you clip a fresh end at a 45 degree angle squirt food coloring in the vase and wait over night then transfer to a clear vase or just clean........
Reply:cut the stem, add food coloring to water and place flowers in the water. The water solution will travel up and dye the carnation. You can also do this with celery.
Reply:Whoa, I was going to give you a thorough answer but the first person just did a lot of that...
