Why am I Fat?
Your not fat. You've eaten one meal. Something tells me you have issuses with the way you look. Try chicken. Eat a chicken sandwhich(grilled not fried) on wheat bread. Its good and good for you. Chicken will give you protien that you need to stay strong, burn fat, and build muscle. Then as a side dish have some fruit to cancel out the bread from the sanwhich. Remember wheat bread not white! It may sound unimportant but it will truely help in the long run.
Reply:did the tuna have water or oil?
was the carnation milk skim?
a better way to have eaten would be:
breakfast: 1/2 banana, 1/2 c. oatmeal with 1 tsp. sugar and 1/2 c. skim milk,
Lunch: Tuna salad, canned in water, drain and put low fat salad dressing or low fat mayonnaise in it and eat it with the 10 crackers , the other half of banana would be fine also.
dinner: 1 or 2 ounces poultry, pork, beef, or 1/2 c. pasta such as macaroni and cheese, spaghetti, or goulash 1 c. toss salad with diet dressing- and green beans w/o butter.
It is good to have flavored water without calories around also, it gives you the feeling of having something sweet but no calories.
Reply:First of all, you're not going to lose weight because you're not doing enough exercise. 100 crunches a day isn't even the bare minimum, you need to put in a bigger effort when it comes to exercise. You need 30 minutes of exercise that will get your heart rate going, and your body going aswell.
Weight loss is a slow process, and the slower it is, the bigger chance you'll have of keeping the weight off. You also need to eat proper meals, three meals a day, lean meats, protein, vegetables and fruits are what you need to be eating. Stay away from soda and sugary treats, but indulge on your sweet tooth every so often.
Good luck!
Reply:Well your fat cause you ate too much with out the right amount of exercise, the exercise you are doing now is great for a start up routine, so keep at it, fresh veggies high in fiber, like broccoli are good for a dieting person, avoid potato's at all cost and corn too cause both contain starch which increase you blood sugar and makes you retain more fat.
Reply:You can't lose weight in one day.. it's a long process. Try eating a more balanced diet, with protein, veggies, and some fruit. Drink plenty of water. What works for one person to lose weight might not work for someone else.
Reply:You need to eat at least 1200 calories a day, or you body goes into starvation mode and actually SLOWS your metabolism and can cause you to gain weight. So that could be an issue for you. a 1200 calorie diet is like this:
Breakfast 3 egg whites, 2 pieces wholewheat toast with 1 tsp butter and coffee w/ milk and 1 sugar
Snack - one apple
Lunch - open faced turkey sandwich with a wheat roll, swiss cheese, turkey, lettuce, tomato and mustard. Green salad with 1 tsp dressing
Snack - cheese stick and carrots
Dinner - Steamed veggies (about 2 cups), 8 oz meat (chicken or fish is best), small sweet potato or brown rice (1 cup)
That is a lot of healthy food and will jump your metabolism
Also cardio and consistancy is the key to losing weight. Do 15 minutes of walking morning, noon and night 4-6 days a week. You should really start seeing results fast ... within a week or two.
Be healthy and best of luck
Reply:your eating is good. just eat an apple when youa re hungry. and i think that you are going to have to do a little more than that if you want to lose some weight. try maybe walking on a treadmeal like 2 miles. if you dont have a treadmeal walk around the block a few times or ride your bike! but dont expect to lose weight if you just do sit-ups. and then nothing the rest of the day! hope it helps. good luck! :)

Reply:because you are eating too little, and not the right foods.
1-drop the crakers, no nutritional value whatsoever = empty calories
2- can of tuna might be ok, but odds are it is loaded with sodium (as canned foods are) and sodium tends to make you look bloated.
3- not sure about "carnation milk" mixed with water but generally those drink mixes don't provide the nutrition you need. I believe those have much sugar in them though.
diet is more important than excercise and sit ups will not make you tone, it will build your ab muscles (which is an important part of the process, and good for your overall health) but not burn fat.
you need to do cardio to burn fat or build lean muscle which will require more energy to burn and as such raise your metabolism. also situps only hit 1/5 of the muscle groups that make up your abs/core.
You need to eat regular meals 5-8 meals a day, smaller HEALTHY meals. not eating slows your metabolism so when you do eat, then more will be stored as fat.
your three "main" meals or bigger ones should always have a form of quality vegetable.
protien takes more energy to digest than fats or carbohydrates. However if you aren't going to really work out then don't focus on protien loading.
eat HEALTHY FATS- poly and monounsaturated fats are good for you. trans fat should be completely cut out of your diet and saturated fats limited.
cut out the sugar, and sugary soft drinks. Anything with High Fructose Corn Syrup should be avoided- yes that includes wonder bread and heinz ketchup, you need to buy versions of this that are "natural" or have real sugar instead. peppridge farm makes a version of Natural whole wheat bread and heinz has a "natural" ketchup that has real sugar- in low amounts.
EAT BREAKFAST- know what most obese people have in common, they don't eat breakfast.
get familar with the glycemic LOAD (glycemic index is inherently flawed as it doesn't base it on portion size).
excersise is secondary.
you must be prepared to find an eating plan that you live on for the REST OF YOUR LIFE, in order to avoid yo-yo dieting which will actually make you worse off. I suggest you start by keeping a "food journal" for a week or so.
