i just found a kitten like an hour ago and i cant find the mother..it is soooo small that it could be a little ball in my hands i gave it carnation milk and she drunked it is theres anything i should do for this very tiny kitten
I just found a baby kitten plz help what should i do ?
it sounds like you have a very young kitten. If it is not eating on it's own, you will need to feed it yourself. Carnation milk was ok in a pinch, but it does not have enough for the kitten to survive. Get the to a pet store and get some KMR (Kitten Milk Replacer) or other kitten formula.
after you feed it, you will need to stimulate it to go to the bathroom. A soft cloth or tissue (I often use toilet paper) rubbed gently on the lower belly to anus area will cause it to go pee.
This is a LOT of work. It might be in the kitten's best interest for you to call a local rescue group and see if they have anyone who fosters kittens who can take it or they might even have a mother with kittens who they can add it to.
Reply:make sure that she stays full ad happy. There is a certain type of milk made for kittens that need to drink milk and you can find this at a nearby petstore. Also make sure that she stays warm because kittens are raised with their mothers body heat. Good Luck!
Reply:if you dont want it you can take it to the vet or a shelter and maybe they know how to take better care of it.
Reply:go to the store and get cat replacement milk
Reply:PLEASE CALL A VET RIGHT NOW AND DO NOT FEED THE KITTEN ANY MORE COW'S MILK
God bless

Reply:1) Do not give it any more milk. Give only water until you can get kitten replacement milk. The most inexpensive is powder form. You can even get it at Wal-Mart. Of course you can get it at pet stores, too.
2) Keep kitty very warm.
3) Keep kitty in a small area.
4) You'll need to help kitty go potty! : )
Instructions on how to do all this are here:

Of course the best thing for kitty is to put back with mama kitty. But there is a good chance you won't find her.
Do you plan on keeping her? If so, make an appt for a vet so kitty can be checked for worms, viruses, etc.
It is a lot of work to take care of an abandoned kitty, but it is well worth it!!!! I hope you do consider keeping her/him! : )
Reply:Call a vet and find out what you should be doing to take care of a kitten that young.
Reply:Don't give it cows milk. It bad for them! Keep it WARM and call a local animal help/rescue center and see if they can help you. If you can't get ahold of anyone go to a pet store and see if they have anything you can feed it. We had that problem before so you'd probably want to hand it over to the professionals.
Reply:Please DO NOT give the kitten any more cow's milk (Carnation). This is incredibly harmful to them, as is goat's milk. Pick up a copy of your local newspaper and go to the classified section. You'll find listings from cat rescue groups in your area. Contact them and tell them that you have an emergency and need their help with the kitten. They will take the kitten and ensure that he receives the proper feeding and care. Hand rearing a kitten is a lot of hard work. Unless you can be available to the kitten 24 hours a day, feeding him/her every 2-3 hours, surrendering him is the best thing you can do for him.
Reply:you must get KMR (kitten milk replacement) and a medicine dropper to feed it with...you will have to do this every 2-3 hours even during the night...
