Flowers in my hair?

I'm planning to wear carnations in my hair for a prom I'll be attending this year. I just want to know how they would last and if they would hold up.

you've picked a good flower for staying power as well. those flowers will look good without water for quite a long time so don't worry about them wilting or anything.



and, as an added bonus, you'll also have the beautiful and delicate scent of these flowers all evening.



i'm not quite sure how you plan to attach them to your hair though... bobby pins? the bases of these flowers are also very sturdy so i'm sure you can put one end of the bobby pin right through the base, and the other through your hair.



anyway, i'm sure you'll figure it out and i'm sure you'll look absolutely beautiful!

Reply:Is the prom going to be in SAN FRANCISCO? Iv'e even see guys with flowers in their hair in Hawaii and other tropics. Why not. If you want to really knock them over see if you can find a passion flower or maybe a gardenia
Reply:Yes carnations hold up for quite awhile as a cut flower--I am also a horticulturist,as well as a florist designer. Carnations are one of the longest lasting cut flowers, both in and out of water. Just ask a flower designer to attach them to a hair clip and they will accent your beauty all night and for a few days afterwords. If it was a great time, you and dry them to keep forever!!
