What does the following mean?

Background:

My little brother-in-law is 8 years old. The other day he bought carnations at the store, not for his mom, but for himself. He also minces when he walks -imagine if you will Hercule Poirot portrayed by David Suchet. At one point he wanted to be a nail technician, now he wants to be a hair-dresser. Just wondering, what does it all mean because it's somewhat funny.

What does the following mean?
It means you don't have to worry about him accidentally knocking a girl up in high school.
Reply:some kids grow out of it-they have phases like that. but seriously he just sounds like a kid who knows what he wants in life and isnt bothered by his mates playing footie or anything so he must be quite confident in himself. he seems to have tapped in to the metrosexual new type of bloke which can only mean that the ladies will fancy him more because he can talk to them about things other lads dont understand. and the attention from the ladies will probly ensure he grows up 'straight' if thats what ur thinkin.
Reply:hes metro......
Reply:Maybe it is just a phase or according to Psychology, he may be having an identity crisis. Maybe he needs a councelor or someone to talk to.
Reply:It sounds like hes very sophisticated and well bred. The only clink is carnations? Yellow and pink roses would have been better, Support him by all means.
Reply:He's gay. 'Better straighten him out while you still can........................................
Reply:I mean no offense by this but my best friend is bi [likes both girls and boys] and he acts just like that.I mean he wants to be a hair style person and all that stuff, so your brother and law might not just like girls.
Reply:He is 8 years old, he really doesn't know what he wants to be. He is not gay. He may be a little feminine but he will probably grow out of it.
Reply:hes only 8, it may just be a phase hes going through. maybe he adores his mom and wants to be like her. nobody can say that he is going to be gay when he is this young, thats just rediculous.
Reply:Don't read stuff into things. Sometimes things are just what they are and don't mean anything.
Reply:He's finna be a future cross dresser...cause that is super nelly
Reply:Not all boys or men that are into horticulture and beauty are gay.....I wouldn't worry about it at this point.
Reply:he is just alittle boy , it may mean nothing , but then again it could mean that he will be gay when he gets older . do not tease him , think of his self asteem
Reply:I think that at 8 years old, he is entitled to be or act like what ever he wants. He is a child, ever heard of role play - If he is gay when he is older so what??!! Let him enjoy his childhood.
Reply:I think that your brother in law might be gay
Reply:well...a lil guy at my church...he loves to clean...he memorizes comercials...obsesses over eztension cords...and he knows every vaccuum cleaner ever created...wierd as urs?..this was a boy you kno!~
Reply:It means that, at the age of 8, this stuff interests him (and that is all it means)
Reply:It could mean nothing, but he sounds very effeminate. My guess is he'd rather play with Barbie than GI Joe, and his favorite Power Ranger is the pink one. Play him a Streisand record, and if he swoons, well, then I guess there's one wedding you won't have to go to, unless he lives in Massachusetts!
Reply:it means that you have brother-in-low and you have a chance to have someone to love you and support you through your life. i would be concern if he is interested into guns!? it is really disgusting how media shapes our views - all stereotypes: the same goes for girls (to be barbies) and for boys (if he is not into cars and sports, he is gay). be yourself and be there for your brother. believe me, you'll meet enough insensitive men in your life
Reply:At 8 years old it means nothing other than those are the things he likes. My 8 year old boy loves the color pink, is an avid baseball player, bug collector, mud thrower and also loves babies. When I asked why a boy would like the color pink so much, he said that God made all the colors, and so if a boy made all the colors, he should be able to like them all. Go figure. He is a very tender spirited boy, with interests in "feminine" things, but I don't think for one second that he is gay. This age is developmentally to young to start making those designations. Leave him alone. If you or the family is worried that he is surrounding himself with activities and choices that are too feminine, try to involve him in other activities too. Play in the mud, hunt for bugs, etc... as well as letting him do nails.
Reply:he might turn out gay but he might just like those sort of things he does have a sister
Reply:Does he have male father figure? If not, it sounds like he is exposed to the femaile more than the male and this all he knows.
