Carnation (Nestle) Good Start Supreme?

I have been breastfeeding my baby exclusively for the first four months, but I had to go back to work, and even if I still pump milk for him, I just cannot keep up with his growing demands. I was going to supplement with a formula once or twice a day, but my baby gets very gassy after Similac and Enfamil (both milk and soy based). I heard Carnation Good Start Supreme is much easier on little tummies. Has anyone tried it? Does it really make a difference?

Carnation (Nestle) Good Start Supreme?
yes its easier on babies tummies it easier to digest
Reply:I use it on my children and found that it causes the least gas and the least spit up. Not to mention the fact that it is cheaper!
Reply:If you can pump your breasts more to get your milk up. If not you can try the Nestle Good Start. My son has done well on it. As always, talk to your doctor first before doing this.
Reply:I used carnation good start supreme with 2 of my children and they had no problems. You can also try Similac Alimentum or there is also another Similac they make for gas and fussiness. Good Luck!
Reply:It made a difference for my son.He was on Soy %26amp; did great on it.He had acid reflux %26amp; this was the best formula we put him on.Alls you can do is try it,to see what works for your baby!!
Reply:I tried using Nestle Goodstart with my daughter and it gave her a really bad case of diarreah and vomiting. I had to have her hospitalized because she became dehydrated. I always used the Similac Isomil which is the soy based formula. You can try changind the type of bottle he/she uses. I used the playtex natural shape Vent-Aire bottle. It worked really well and my baby never got gas or colic after using that bottle. Hope this helps.
Reply:It made a difference for my daugher. One thing t note is tha tyou have to heat the water up before you add the powder. This was kinda pain for me and my husband so we by it pre-mixeded 12 oz cans.
Reply:I used it with my daughter and it worked great for her but that was after I had tried everything else but I didn't use supreme just the reg. stuff each baby is different and it can take a while to find the right formula for your baby
Reply:Yes carnation is a formula,my daughter was on it and she verly spit up, give it a try what can it hurt
Reply:It didn't make any difference with my son, but all babies are different. You could try a slow flow nipple to see if that helps any because in some the flow is way too fast.
Reply:I switched my son (8 wks old) from Enfamil to Carnation Good Start. YES....made a big difference w/gas and with spitting up. I use the Good Start Supreme....give it a try!!!
