How to prepare instant dry milk?

I have a box of Carnation Instant Dry milk, and I lost the label, so I don't have the instructions. I use it for baking, and I need to use it now, cuz i'm out of regular milk. Anyone know how do prepare it?

How to prepare instant dry milk?
There is a nice little chart on the link below....

please go there and copy it for your records. Good luck.... I'm glad I'm not the only one who believes in using dry milk....
Reply:Throw that weak crap away and go to the store. Unless the world is ending soon, dont buy anymore of it. When you say label you mean part of the box right? How do you lose part of the box? Did rats eat it or you needed fire fuel? Powdered milk sucks. I dont cook much, so maybe it matters, but why is part of the box missing?
Reply:Add water and stir
Reply:1/4 cup water added to 1 1/2 tbspns makes 1/4 cup milk

1/3 cup water to 2 tablespoons plus 1 tsp dry milk =1/3 cup milk

3 3/4 cups water added to 1 1/3 cups powdered milk makes = 1 quart milk

15 1/2 cups water added to 5 1/3 cups powdered milk makes 1 gallon of milk
Reply:I used to use powdered dry milk rather frequently for baking. I never bothered to prepare it though. Just throw 1/3 cup of milk powder in with the dry ingredients for every cup of milk that you need, then add water where the recipe says to add milk.

Very handy if you want to make your own mixes in advance.
Reply:My mother always said that to make dry milk taste like whole milk you should mix 1 cup powder to 1 1/2 cup water. Because it is very weak otherwise. Also always use ice water. It disolves the powder all the way so you don't have little clumps of powder in the milk. Good luck.
