Is it ok to liquid diet for a week?

Is it ok to drink Carnation Breakfast in the morning and slimfasts for lunch and dinner? Plus i would be drinking 6 20oz bottles of water, and 6 glasses of green tea. For exercise I would walk a lot and use my little exercise ball. Oh, and I would take vitamins. Would I loose weight by Saturday? Any suggestions on a liquuid diet?

Reply:it's ok but far from optimum for fat loss. Carnation Breakfast and Slim Fast shakes are both major sources of sugar and simple carbohydrates. any weight lost on that diet will return once normal eating habits are resumed. it typically takes a good 2-4 weeks on a balanced diet before measurable fat loss is observed. short-term weight loss diets 99% of the time only results in the loss of water weight not actual fat reduction.



you would do much better eating whole foods that are low in calories and not relying on sugar ladden food items
Reply:Add a scoop of whey protein powder...any brand...nothin expensive to help insure that the weight u're losin is all fat %26amp; not muscle.
Reply:err...bad idea, cuz ur not getting any protein or fiber or anything at all. yeah keep the water, maybe keep it to 4 bottles, 6 is a little much, skip the green tea unless its decaf, and slimfasts arent really anything but calories and sugar. and carnation breakfast taste horrible. its a really extreme, but non effective diet. i suggest take ur REAL meal, and divide them in half, so u will be eating 6 tiny meals instead of 3 big ones ITS A REALLY GOOD DIET. and then i drank a LOT of water - 64 ounces a day - honey ur going way over the needed water level ur body needs. i saw results with this diet within a month - i lost 8 pounds!!!! and my waist and abs have lost the fat, and so has my butt. ITS REALY GREAT. in those meals, make sure their balanced. for example, a little cut of lean chicken meat with ur choice of light sauce with a side of fresh veggies. for breakfast you could try a half a whole wheat bagel with light cream cheese or sugar-free jam with orange juice. see what i mean? good luck!
