How to tell my husband/family I'm pregnant?

I'm not pregnant yet, but I'm so excited about it I've already decided how to tell my husband I'm pregnant. I am going to get a bouquet of blue and pink carnations and on the card put something like, "Dear Daddy, I'm on my way! I can't wait to meet you!" And take it to him at work. As for my family I was thinking about getting my parents, brother, and grandparents all baby items and wrapping them up and giving them out. My Moms birthday is the end of July so I was thinking maybe we could have a birthday cookout for her and give the gifts out in goody bags or something. If I'm pregnant by then, that is. That's how my parents told my grandparents that they were pregnant. But, I'm still open to other suggestions! So please feel free...

I gave my mom a ring with the birthstone in which I was expecting. It had a tag attached that said, "To Grandma from baby ?" She understood right away!
Reply:i did that exat same carnation flower thing for my mom when we found out the sex. we got 3 pinks and 3 blues and on the card we put "Nana, I'm a boy!!"

my mom loved it!!

but I think you have some good ideas!!!
Reply:be like " hey i hope your in the mood for some baby back ribs cuz we are expecting the first part" that would be cool. i like the blue and pink carnations idea..very smart and creative..
Reply:can i have your yahoo screen name?? so we can chat and everything??
Reply:Wrap a baby doll up for your husband. And when he opens it tell him that you thought he might could use the practice. And as for your family get the first ultrasound pic frame it and give it as a gift.
Reply:We are trying ttc 4 months now and I have gone to motherhood and bought a book called being a daddy. It is so cute. I think I am going to wrap the book and the pg test. then i will lay our pictures on top. So he sees the pics, then unwraps the pg test and then the book. As for the family and friends I am going to copy his pic. and my pic. then an equal sign cut out and then a pic cut out of a crib. by the way the book is so good for new dads. It really helps them through the pregnancy (about your hormones) and the birth and things to do after baby arrives. It is not a thick book,so they won't get bored.

hope this helps, I am in the same boat as you, always thinking of cute things to do and say.

good luck and god bless....
Reply:i was thinking about when i get pregnant getting a plain shirt and writing "baby boo" on it because my nickname for my fiancee is "boo boo". and for my family i was going to get a cake with a baby picture on it.
