Practices to be followed to grow carnations in a greenhouse?
After many years of professionally consulting growers on greenhouse-grown carnations, I was going to answer your question but found a couple of sites that you might find very interesting and explained in a thorough manner.

Your growing media is of the utmost importance and pre-plant preparation should include compost and composted steer %26amp; chicken manure to introduce beneficial bacteria and fungi. Because carnations are quite prone to Fusarium, Pythium and Rhizoctonia diseases, I'd highly recommend using the beneficial fungi; "Trichoderma harzianum". By doing this, you'll save yourself lots of money in fungicide applications in the future and any loss of crop.

Be sure to keep your soil pH between 6.0 and 6.5, moist and never saturated. Fertilization, lighting, temperature conditions and plant spacing are all discussed in the following sites.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly.

Good luck!
